Do you have a car that is just sitting in your driveway or garage and taking up space? Maybe it’s a pristine Buick Roadmaster Convertible from 1948, maybe it’s a clunker Accord from 1984 that you drove across the country. It could be a boat or a tractor or any other vehicle for that matter. A Smile for Kids has partnered with CARS to facilitate towing and auction of your vehicle if you are willing to donate the proceeds of the sale to A Smile for Kids. Charitable trusts planned to give through a will or gifting your donor advised fund after your lifetime is a way to guarantee that the efforts of A Smile for Kids will continue to serve under-resourced kids with orthodontic needs in the future. We have been around since 2003 and through careful financial planning and oversight, A Smile for Kids plan to be here for many more years to come. Whether you choose the tax benefit from donating securities and stock or monthly installments from your fund, we can work with you to ensure that your money is designated to exactly what you prefer.
As a non-profit 501(3)c organization, we receive distributions from funders in many geographical areas and fidelity has been a solid partner for us in that endeavor. However, you most likely have your own preference and no matter where you receive advice from, it’s critical to involve a professional who can guide you through the process. If you choose to Sponsor a Smile, you’ll make a life changing orthodontic treatment possible for someone who otherwise would suffer bullying, public ridicule by their peers and limited social interaction in many aspects of their life.
As a sponsor, you touch all social determinants because A Smile for Kids requires a C grade level or above to begin treatment and at least 4 hours of community service every month. You have a direct effect on the future of a person and you’ll be there to witness the possibilities. If you both agree, we encourage you to communicate directly with each other, otherwise, we will facilitate updates to ensure you’re kept posted.
This is a very fulfilling opportunity for any potential sponsor and can either be an upfront $3000 payment or parsed out over 12 or 24 months if you’d prefer that. Just call 541-280-4214 if you are interested and we will walk you through the process.
Many midsize to large employers often match their employees’ donations through a philanthropic arm of the organization.
Check with your employer if they match donations to a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
We have been approved by Oregon’s Bottledrop system to receive funds from Oregonians donating their deposit bottles to us – and it’s way easier than it ever has been in the past.
You simply request a roll of 10 blue bags with QR codes that we have in our office, then fill and drop them off at one of these Bottledrop Locations all over Oregon. We strongly encourage you to continue to request bags from us when you start to run out. If you want to start small, we are also happy to send you one, two, or three individual bags.
